FAIN Accelerates Irish Growth with Acquisition of TKE Ireland

According to their own estimates managing, the family-owned elevator company now services more than 7,000 units nationwide, representing 20% of the Irish elevator market

FAIN Group, the headquartered lift company, has completed the acquisition of the Irish subsidiary of TKE, securing its position as the second-largest elevator operator in Ireland.

The acquisition expands the elevator portfolio managed by FAIN Ireland to, according to their own estimates managing, 7,000 -equivalent to 20% of the national market– including devices managed by Doyle, a company that is part of the group but maintains its legal independence. It also further strengthens its technical presence nationwide.

This follows FAIN’s initial foray into the Irish market in 2021 with the acquisition of OTIS Ireland and West of Ireland Lifts (WOIL), under the name Irish Lift Services (ILS), transforming its operations with FAIN’s proprietary processes, systems, and corporate culture.

FAIN Ireland now enters its next chapter under a single, unified brand. As of July 1, and following a careful integration of the three initial companies, the company completes its consolidation and brand transformation process by unifying them under a single corporate identity: FAIN Ireland.

“Ireland has been a core pillar of our international strategy,” said Miguel Gómez, COO of FAIN. “In just four years, we’ve grown our presence from 4,600 to over 7,000 lifts – a pace that reflects our long-term commitment to local investment, technical excellence and customer-first service.”

Founded in Madrid over 50 years ago, FAIN remains family-owned and is one of Europe’s fastest-growing players in lift maintenance and modernisation. Alongside its Irish operations, it has a growing footprint in France, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Belgium. The integration of TKE’s human team strengthens its recent acquisition and deepens its technical expertise, particularly with TKE products widely used in Irish commercial and infrastructure projects.

FAIN attributes its growth to a model based on local empowerment, digitised customer service and a dense technician network – now the most extensive in the Irish market.

“We’re not a faceless multinational,” said Nicolás Mediavilla, president of FAIN Group. “We’re proud to be a family business that delivers high-tech, high- touch service. That means local jobs, fast response times, and real relationships with our clients.”

FAIN Ireland’s clients include some of the most prominent names on the island – from Google and Guinness to Meta and Inditex.

This acquisition marks more than just scale – it reflects a strategic consolidation in what has traditionally been a fragmented Irish elevator market. With a now-cohesive structure, FAIN Ireland plans to continue investing in its digital systems, training and customer experience, while pursuing profitable, sustainable growth.

“We’ve brought together the strengths of four businesses under one vision,” added Michael Kelly, CEO of FAIN Ireland. “Now, we’re focused on becoming not just the best service provider, but the best place to work”.
